The Blue Mallee Tool Bag is great for when space is tight.
Peter originally requested a 'tool bag' for our big camping trip.
He wanted something big enough to carry the tools he wanted for the four week trip.
He wanted it to be able to close up and tighten with straps when travelling so the tools wouldn't rattle.
He wanted the bag to be able to spread out in some way when he wanted to use the tools so that they didn't get left behind on the dirt or get grit all through them from being put on the ground.
The Tool Bag is designed for the car and will hold a large selection of tools as the design allows the 'bag' to gusset up as more tools are added. The Tool Bag has a low profile, no rattle design.
The Tool Bag is available in 14oz green canvas, as shown in the photos below. I can make it in other colours but have none in stock and you would need to allow 'making time'.

Open dimensions - As you can see from the photo below, when open the Tool Bag is hexagonal in shape. Essentially the area is one metre x one metre with the corners chopped off.
Closed height - this depends on how many tools you put in it.
Closed width - 450mm
Closed depth - 300mm
Materials
The Tool Bag is made from canvas and seatbelt webbing. The base is reinforced with corflute (the stuff 'For Sale' signs are made from) and the webbing is sewn along the base ensuring the bags strength and structural integrity.
Wear
Canvas will 'wear' in a similar way to stonewash denim – at corners and along edges there will be a tendency to lighten. This will not effect the strength of the fabric.
Cleaning Canvas is hard wearing. You can wipe over the whole bag with plain water. Avoid spot cleaning and do not use soaps, bleach or other cleaning products.
